EPIC Trial
EPIC is a trial looking at management of MMVD prior to onset of congestive heart failure. The trial aims to answer the question of when is the best time to start treatment for dogs with MMVD before the onset of CHF. For details please call Mel or Amy on 01453 547934.

Cardiology
At Vale Referrals, we have a high quality colour flow Doppler ultrasound, multiple Holter monitors, fluoroscopy and all the usual gadgets you would expect at a referral centre. However, we don't blind clients with science or repeat unnecessary tests; we feel that it is important to keep sight of what is in the best interests of the patient. For many this means allowing them to return to leading active lives, despite the presence of heart disease. We also understand that owners need a practical approach and not all have an unlimited budget.
Case management often overlaps with our Internal Medicine Referral Vets, Sara Gould and Myra Stevenson and surgical cases are managed by Carol Wright, our soft tissue surgeon. Our first opinion vets and a team of qualified and experienced nurses provide fantastic back up support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
